Guenter Butschek: CEO of Tata Motors steps down

Tata has just announced that it will replace its board of directors, CEO and MD Mr. Guenter Butschek will step down on June 30, but will serve as a consultant for Tata Motors until the end of the CEO appointment. He currently serves as the chairman of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle business. He did this for personal reasons. He has led Tata Motors for the past 5 years and joined Tata in 2016.

Mr. Chandrasekaran said: “I want to thank Guenter for successfully operating Tata Motors over the past 5 years and laying a solid foundation for the future. I look forward to your continued commitment as a company consultant.” Mr. Guenter Butschek said: “Leading Tata Motors in the past 5 years has been an exciting experience. The fundamentals of the business are better and we are able to take advantage of opportunities in commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles. I look forward to the next few months continuing to work with the company as a consultant.”

Pratap Bose, the former chief designer of Tata Motors, also left the organization. He recently joined Mahindra and Mahindra as design director. He will lead the company Mahindra Advanced Design Europe, a company in UK, overseeing Mahindra’s Indian design studio. He has worked with automakers such as Mitsubishi, Piaggio and Mercedes-Benz. Pratap Bose developed the IMPACT design concept for Tata Motors. Very good. Cars like Tigor, Tiago, Altroz, Nexon, Safari and Harrier.

Tata has achieved great success with its recent car launches. They released a facelifted Nexon product last year, and they have been selling well since. It now looks a lot like Land Rover, so the compact SUV has a stronger presence on the road. They also released Harrier, which contains some updates to fix minor bugs. These two SUVs were also updated in terms of power.

Tata Motors also launched the Nexon EV, which is currently the best-selling electric car on the Indian market. This year’s iTurbo and the legendary Safari are also back. Tata is also working on micro SUVs, which were showcased as HBX concepts at the 2020 Auto Expo. The test mule of the new car was spotted many times in the test.
