OnePlus has just announced that it is developing a “pro” version of its earbuds, apparently after the release date of OnePlus Buds and Buds Z last year as the new OnePlus Buds Pro or “Buds Pro Edition” (both they are called), as mentioned in the announcement, but some lucky testers can apply for peer review.
Little is known about this new earbud, but the nickname “Pro” may be related to the Apple Airpods Pro, which is different from the basic Pro-less model with ANC and a more durable design which can seal the ear canal. Currently little is known about OnePlus Buds Pro. They were not found in leaks or certification bodies. But definitely the OnePlus Buds ‘Pro’ should be updated a bit. The OnePlus Buds model was released last year.
The company contacted its community forum to confirm OnePlus Buds Pro. OnePlus said in its post: “Are you excited about the next release of OnePlus Nord 2 5G? Bet you don’t know the new talks. The Nord series comes with Buds Pro, which has not been announced yet!” OnePlus also requires community members to register to test these products and provide feedback before release. The company calls them laboratory reviewers. Although the application for this testing process has begun, the winners will be announced on July 21.
OnePlus Buds Pro, as the name suggests, should be an update of OnePlus Buds and even Buds Z. Both were released last year. The Buds Pro is expected to be equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and the price may exceed the other two TWS earplugs in the OnePlus product portfolio. The company may announce trailers of these upcoming earbuds in the next few days. All details, including prices and availability, will be announced on July 22.
Regarding OnePlus Nord 2 5G, it will be released together with Buds Pro, this phone is all set to be the successor to the OnePlus Nord launched in July last year. Nord 2 5G has been confirmed to be loaded with MediaTek Dimensity 1200AI SoC, which is an upgraded version of the existing Dimensity 1200 chip and can be purchased during the Indian Amazon Prime member day sales period. The annual sale will be held on July 26th and 27th.
