Poco F3 GT announced to be launched in India on July 23

A company executive announced the price of the POCO F3 GT before the official launch in India. This is the second model in the company’s F series, arriving in India and priced at approximately US$400. Earlier, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that the phone will be available sometime in the third quarter of this year, and now India Today POCO India Regional Director Anuj Sharma officially announced that the device will go on sale. The general manager said that the initial release window was set between August 2021 and September 2021, but it has been confirmed that the device will arrive on July 23, earlier than originally planned.

Interestingly, earlier in the day, the Flipkart list showed that the phone will be launched at 12 noon on July 22. However, it was taken down within a few minutes, and an official announcement was made on the social media by Poco, confirming the release date is July 23. During the online event, the launch will be conducted at 12 noon.

A senior official also released pricing information for the F3 GT in India today. The smartphone will be available later this month at a price of approximately 30,000 Indian rupees (approximately US$402). Or possibly above the 30,000 Indian rupee mark. However, Anuj Sharma, the country director of Poco confirmed that the high-end version of the upcoming device will be priced below 35,000 Indian rupees (approximately US$470), making it competitive in its target market segment.

It is worth noting that the July 23, 2021 release date is also close to the OnePlus Nord 2 announcement, and the company has also recently reviewed it. Both smartphones are equipped with the same MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. POCO also confirmed some other specifications of the upcoming smartphone, including an AMOLED display that supports HDR10+ and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will also offer two color options, namely Bronze Silver and Predator Black, and be equipped with two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

“The smartphone market has undergone tremendous changes in the past three years. It can be a simple successor to F1, which means giving up everything else and ensuring performance. But in the mid-to-high-end market segment, users are not satisfied just with a glance. The quality of workmanship, the back glass are very expensive. This will make the Poco F3 GT much more expensive than the Poco F1, but in terms of price, it will not be like any other mobile phone.”
