The ongoing custody battle of the Hollywood couple, Angelina Jolie and her ex-spouse, Brad Pitt is just turning into a real-life conflict amongst them. Hence, once again the actor has filed his petition in the Court for getting the ongoing case of custody reviewed.
Since Judge John Ouderkirk, an appellate judge, was asked to submit the opinion align with the other two Judges, he was disqualified from the Custody case of the Hollywood couple. Last time, the ruling provided the actor, Brad Pitt more time with the pair’s five minor kids.
The media sources of the PEOPLE obtained the petition and it mainly argues that Judge John ‘effectively upended the constitutionally authorized temporary judging system in California.’ But now, ‘it throws open the door to disqualification challenges at any point during a case, even if the party raising the motion has long been on notice about the alleged grounds for disqualification.’
In continuation, it noted, “In so doing, the opinion is guaranteed to fuel disqualification gamesmanship and raises serious questions as to whether the temporary judging system is a viable option in California’s severely backlogged judicial system.”
On Angelina’s behalf, her legal team has argued that Judge Ouderkirk had served as the former duo’s private attorney, and might be he has been biased in his rulings too. He also failed to work on his part by discontinuing and was hired by the other attorneys of the actor.
In 2016, the pair with mutual decision hired Ouderkirk, and both, Jolie and Brad by their sides presented their business relationships in front of the Judge. Additionally, his tenure was extended twice, during the five-year span. As per the Appellate Court, it is claimed that he was later also hired to hear out the other cases but he never on his part provided anyone of the information to Angelina’s Attorney.
Earlier, this month while the hearing was being done, the other Judges have noted that John ‘failed to do the mandatory disclosures’ about other legal proceedings including Brad’s legal counseling ‘might cause an objective person, aware of all of the facts’ to disbelief the Judge’s impartiality in the case, the opinion stated.
On the other hand, the attorneys of the actor, on his behalf clarified that Jolie and her attorneys have been detailed with the required professional history of Judge Ouderkirk, from the very beginning, since the case started, but hold back years to seek Ouderkirk’s disqualification.
Pitt Counsel, said, “After more than four years of contentious litigation, every day of which has harmed the children and their father, an important and considered custody decision will be entirely undone as a result of an administrative error that is wholly unrelated to the merits of the custody dispute itself.”
Previously, back in June, the actress claimed to be unsatisfied with the court’s decision and made it sure to fight back. That time, an Insider said, “Angelina’s testimony lacked credibility. The decision was based on extensive testimonies from people who spent time with the kids and by highly respected professionals.”
The former pair tied the knot in 2014 after dating one another for about two years. They have been battling out since 2016 after they decided to separate for the custody of their kids. Notably, Jolie and Brad share six children together; Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
In the month of May, the judge provided the temporary ruling to both the battling parties of the shared custody removing of Maddox, who is no longer a minor. Consequently, the actor was satisfied with the decision but the sources claimed that Jolie was just plotting to take her steps further.
Speaking about the relationship background, then Angelina Jolie fell in love at the age of 14 and she was keenly serious about her boyfriend. However, her mother permitted her and her beau to live together in her home. In the context of this, Jolie had once stated, “I was either going to be reckless on the streets with my boyfriend or he was going to be with me in my bedroom with my mom in the next room. She made the choice, and because of it, I continued to go to school every morning and explored my first relationship in a safe way.”
Although, things didn’t work out amongst the pair and they separated. In fact, this led the actress to her initial and first step towards acting. Soon, in 1995, Angelina moved into a relationship with Johny Lee Miller and he was her first love during the teenage.
Johnny and Jolie were not in contact with one another but they soon tied the knot by 1996 and later, she filed for the divorce in 1999. Notably, both, Jolie and Miller are on the good terms still and even the actress calls Miller to be ‘a solid man and a solid friend.’
Later, the actress moved into a relationship with a model and actress, Jenny Shimizu while they were working for ‘Firefox.’ However, prior to her wedding with Lee she could not marry Jenny, and once Jenny said, “I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn’t married my husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her.”
As per the media reports, their relationship lasted for some and they ever went on while the actress was romantically also together with other guys. In 2003, while being asked about her sexuality Jolie simply clarified, “Of course. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it’s okay to want to kiss and touch her? If I fell in love with her? Absolutely! Yes!”
Then, she moved ahead with actor Billy Bon Thornton in 2000 and they tied the knot on May 5, 2000. Soon, in 20002, they adopted a kid in Cambodia and later separated in 2003. However, earlier before they could jump together in a relationship, Bob was dating the actress, Laura Dern and on the other hand, Angelia was with Timothy Hutton.
Speaking about Pitt, he was in a relationship with Robin Givens, Jill Schoelen, in the 1990s. Further, he made a move with his fiancée and costar, Gwyneth Paltrow, and their relationship lasted together from 1994 to 1997.
In 2000, he married the actress Jennifer Aniston, after dating for about 2 years, and later in 2005, they separated. Although, as per the legal proceedings of their split, it was claimed that Brad on hi apart has never been faithful to the actress. As he was also involved along with Angelina Jolie, while they worked together for ‘Mr. &Mrs. Smith.’ Soon after, Brad and Jolie moved into a relationship and got married in 2014, after confirming their pregnancy in 2006.
After the divorce, the ex- pair, Jennifer and Pitt, both were in great highlights of the media and there was the appearance of the Tees, ‘Team Aniston’ and ‘Team Jolie,’ throughout the country. That time, Anniston responded and slammed the critics by saying, “Nobody did anything wrong… It was just like, sometimes things [happen].”
On the other hand, there was a rumor that Brad Pitt and his ex-spouse, Aniston’s separation was due to the denial of the actress for having kids. Later, the actress addressed such rumors and clarified, “I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! … I would never give up that experience for a career.”
