Indian government secures a deal to export mangoes to US, and import pork

India is exporting mangoes and pomegranates to the United States. As per the information, the USA Department of Agriculture and India’s Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has signed the deal.

The U.S. has given the approval of importing mangoes and pomegranates from India. The USA and Indian government has mentioned in a joint statement that the supply of cherries, alfalfa hay, pork, and other products from India has been approved in New Delhi.

The traditional mango production industries are Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. The USA Department of Agriculture has provided a path for exporting the products.

Moreover, the individuals in the United States will have superior grade food, and this is all because India they have good quality products. Currently, the confirmation from the Centre has been made as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has consented to ship Indian Mangoes to the nation within the coming season.

According to the data, the agreement made by India’s Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) about exporting the Indian Mangoes and pomegranates to the USA, they are implementing “2 Vs 2 Agri market access.” In a statement by the commerce ministry, “The deal includes, the United States and India will follow a mutual protocol on Thanksgiving for India’s mango exports and pomegranate exports to the USA and cherries and Alfalfa hay importing from the U.S.”

On November 23 2021, there was a meeting of the 12th India-US Trade Policy Forum in which they have officially signed the joint agreement. “The USTR- United States Trade Representative has also declared that the U.S. pork products will be shared with India. The barrier between USA and India has been removed because of the U.S. agricultural trade.”

Ambassador Tai has shared the significance of the availability for the U.S pork with the Minister of Commerce of India, Piyush Goyal.
