California: Couple and their dog rescued 2 months after they stuck in their homes due to heavy snow

In California, a couple was struck in the snow in the Northern California cabin in December. According to the officials, they were rescued with the help of the helicopter on Tuesday after around two months.

The Valley Division Air operations of the California Highway Patrol got a call from the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office. They made a request of helping the pair and their dog as they were facing issues also, they were out of supplies.

As per the state agency, on 6th December, both of them with their dog was locked inside the cabin as the doors were stuck due to the heavy snow and the trees that kept the door closed.

The place where the cabin was located was a remote area, and to keep away from blocking the road, the CHP had a discussion, and they decided to deploy a helicopter for help to rescue both of them with their dog.

They could not share the location of the area, but the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office figured out where the incident took place, which was based in Downieville, California, on the North Fork of the Yuba River.

There was a video shared by the CHP in which, in front of the cabin, there was tress and snow that blocked the entrance door.

The helicopter of agency helicopter was able to land safely in the heavy, strong winds.

CHP mentioned all three of them were flown to a zone where Sierra County deputies helped them take them to a place where they could be safe and protected. The identities of the couple have not been shared by the officials.
