New Jersey man faces murder charges after allegedly abusing his 6-years old son

In New Jersey, a man named Christopher Gregor, a 29-year-old, has been detained and facing murder charges after he allegedly abused his 6-year-old son and forced him to run on the treadmill, mentioned in the prosecutors and court documents.

The Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Barnegat Township Police Chief Keith A. Germain stated the man had been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He killed his own son.

As per the county inmate locator, Gregor is being held without bail.

Along with this, the attorney of Gregor named Mario Gallucci mentioned that his client “had nothing to do with the death of this child.”

Moreover, the 29-year-old took his son to the hospital on April 2, 2021, after the boy was facing issues, including nausea and shortness of breath. The little boy whose identity has been withheld has been pronounced dead on the same day.

However, the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office performed a post-mortem investigation, and they have observed several bruises and haemorrhaging of the liver.

The Prosecutors raised a question to Dr Thomas Andrew of White Mountain Forensics to look at the findings. He discovered that the reason for his death was “blunt impact injuries of the chest and abdomen with laceration of the heart,” along with other injuries.

The death of the boy has been said to be a homicide.

Furthermore, Gregor used to make his son work out to lose weight. In the documents, it has been mentioned that the mother of Gregor “made him run on the treadmill because he is fat.”

The document states, “The decedent appears to struggle to gain footing, while Gregor appears to be biting on the top of the decedent’s head.”

The 6-year-old’s mother and the grandmother both had the fear that the man was abusing the boy.
