Boston Police takes woman into custody for murdering man in Manchester

United States: A woman is in the custody of Boston police officials after being charged with murdering a 71-year-old man in Manchester and stealing his car, as per authorities in New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, as well as Manchester Police Chief Alan Aldenberg, have made announced on Sunday that the 34-year-old Stephanie Beard was arrested in Boston on Saturday after a warrant charging her with second-degree murder was issued.

The Investigators mentioned in the statement that John Glennon was discovered dead at around 8 a.m. on Friday inside his home at the Carpenter Center apartment complex on Franklin Street.

According to the investigators, Glennon was stabbed in the head with a knife and is believed to have been killed in the early-morning hours on Friday.

Moreover, an autopsy was conducted on Saturday and determined that the cause of Glennon’s death was multiple sharp force wounds and the manner of his death was a homicide.

A representative for the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office would not comment to WMUR, WCVB’s sister station, about any relationship between Beard as well as Glennon.

Along with this, Formella’s office mentioned in the statement that Beard was also charged with theft by unauthorized taking for stealing Glennon’s car, a silver Subaru Impreza.

The Authorities said Beard had been seen driving Glennon’s car in the Manchester area, heading south on Interstate 293.

In addition, Beard has been charged with being a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts. She is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Boston Municipal Court.

Meanwhile, the authorities did not say when Beard could be brought back to New Hampshire to face the murder and theft charges.

Furthermore, the police officials are still investigating the incident.
