Tulsa city mass shooting claims 5 lives, including shooter

United States: About five individuals were killed, including the shooter. In contrast, the others were injured in a mass shooting on a hospital campus in Tulsa city of Oklahoma State on Tuesday evening.

The Tulsa police officials mentioned in the statement, “We are now having five dead, including the shooter, in the active situation at the Natalie Building on the St. Francis Hospital Campus.”

The incident occurred at about 6 pm local time. The assailant was armed with a rifle. He stormed into the Natalie Medical Building on St. Francis Hospital campus. Moreover, the police made the confirmation in a Facebook post that the shooter was dead.

Along with this, the Tulsa Police Department stated, “Earlier this noon, we replied to a call about a man who has been armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital. This turned into an active shooter situation.”

“At this point, we can assure the shooter is down at this time.” It is not yet clear about how the shooter died.

The Police officers are now checking every room in the building for additional threats. The people that are injured have been transported to the health care centre for treatment.

In addition, it is the second shooting incident that has taken place in just two days. On Monday, one older woman was killed.

At the same time, two of the men were wounded in a shooting incident outside the graduation ceremony of Morris Jeff High School on the campus of Xavier University in New Orleans.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been apprehended.

On May 24, nineteen students and two of the adults were killed in a mass shooting at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde town of Texas. An 18-year-old shooter was also killed by security personnel.

Furthermore, shooting incidents have been on the increase in the United States over the last few years. As per an online database that keeps a record of the nation’s gun violence incidents, the United States of America has witnessed more than 200 mass shootings so far in 2022.
