Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has made the announcement about the provision of a new $1 billion security package for Ukraine.
According to the White House, the President of the United States mentioned in the statement on the support for Ukraine and call with President Zelensky of Ukraine, “I informed President Zelensky that the United States is providing another $1 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, including additional artillery and coastal defence weapons, as well as ammunition for the artillery and advanced rocket systems that the Ukrainians need to support their defensive operations in the Donbas.”
Biden confirmed his commitment that the United States will stand by war-torn Ukraine as it defends its democracy and support its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of unprovoked Russian aggression.
Additionally, the USA also remains committed to helping the Ukrainian people whose lives have been ripped apart by this war.
Moreover, the US President highlighted, “Today, I am also announcing an additional $225 million in humanitarian assistance to help people inside Ukraine, including by supplying safe drinking water, critical medical supplies and health care, food, shelter, and cash for families to purchase essential items.”
As the United States leader underscored, the bravery, resilience, and determination of people from Ukraine continue to inspire the world.
Biden mentioned in the statement, “The United States, together with our allies and partners, will not waver in our commitment to the Ukrainian people as they fight for their freedom.”
Along with this, on February 24, Russia launched a new phase of the war against war-torn Ukraine. There is a full-scale invasion. The Russian invaders shelled and bombed Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages and tortured and killed civilians.
