Virginia teen led police on high-speed chase into Florida after threats to detective

A kid from Virginia led police on a fast chase into Florida after threatening an Orlando detective.

He was apprehended driving into Florida Wednesday at speeds of up to 100 mph by state troopers.

According to the authorities, the motorist allegedly texted threatening communications to a police officer before the chase began.

A disturbing threat led Orlando police to attempt to place a 16-year-old in a juvenile prison facility.

The Orlando Police Chief, Orlando Rolón, mentioned in the statement, “This kid is someone who concerns us tremendously.”

Along with this, the other expressed the same concerns, “We believe that he is an imminent threat and an imminent danger to the city of Orlando.”

When a 16-year-old in Virginia began getting obscene photographs from a 13-year-old in Orlando in March, authorities were alerted.

According to investigators, he became agitated when he was caught and began planning. He started by getting in touch with the investigating officer.

“I will end your life, and you will go to hell,” highlighted the suspect in a voice message.

After researching how to build pipe bombs, the boy took his parents’ SUV and began the more than 750-mile trek to Orlando.

In a news conference, Rolón claimed that the young man knew the address of the female in Orlando.

“He also mentioned that if his parents got in the way, he would harm them,” stated Rolón. “He also mentioned that he intended to find our detective.”

According to authorities, the young person tried to find the investigator online in an effort to hurt him.

Because the state trooper considered him to be a danger to society, he decided to pull him over.

The state attorney is currently in charge of the case.

“It appears that this 16-year-old intends to continue to harm if he’s able to do so,” outlined Rolón. “We hope that they will keep him in custody.”

The unnamed teen is accused of several crimes, including attempted murder.
