3 injures, over 100 houses destroyed in suspected tornado across Ohio

Goshen Township, Ohio: After a possible tornado and severe thunderstorms moved through southwest Ohio on Wednesday, at least three people were hurt, hundreds of houses were destroyed, and thousands were left without electricity.

The National Weather Service said that although it hasn’t been confirmed, radar data and photographs from the Goshen region suggest that a tornado did indeed touch down at around 3 p.m., causing at least part of the damage in the city and Clermont County.

According to the sources, three injuries have been recorded till now, although none are serious. One of the injuries was caused by flying debris.

According to the information, there were certain sites where emergency responders had trouble reaching them because of debris. According to details, several buildings had their roofs blown off, while others were completely damaged.

According to Stephen Pegram, the township administrator, hundreds of homes experienced “severe” damage.

“The point that we do not have a lot of injuries or any fatalities is a blessing,” Pegram shared the information, “[…]I think Goshen got lucky, but we have a lot of damage and a lot of people hurting right now.”

Early on Thursday morning, it was revealed that some 54,000 customers in the region were still without power.
