Florida: One dies following shooting incident in Orlando

Florida, United States: One person is dead after a gunshot inside an Orlando Denny’s on Monday morning.

According to Orlando police, it took place at the restaurant in the 5700 block of TG Lee Boulevard at 3 in the morning.

As per police officials, a suspect opened fire inside the Denny’s, killing one person and injuring another.

“Here, I feel quite secure. I’ve visited Denny’s previously and always felt at ease there. I feel awful for the employees there,” said Shelia Schmotzer.

Along with this, Schmotzer, a local airline employee, was disappointed to see police cars in front of the eatery.

“Jeff Woods, a guest in town for a cruise, said that there was “too much gun violence going on in the world today.”

Woods found it unnerving that the homicide scene was so close to his accommodation.

“Very shocking; I had no idea there had been a murder just outside the hotel,” Woods remarked.

Despite the crime that occurred, Bruce Burbick, a different tourist, stated he felt generally comfortable.

“It certainly makes you think when you watch these situations grow daily on the news,” said Burbick.

Burbick got up early to have some breakfast before his journey back to Ohio, keeping in mind the loved ones of everyone concerned.

“Hate to see this sort of thing occur. Every day, we witness that in Ohio as well, and it’s sad and affects the families for whom you feel bad, he added.

According to Orlando police, they have someone under arrest, and the patient who was taken to the hospital has a non-life-threatening injury.

They haven’t mentioned the beginning of it all other than to state that they don’t believe a robbery occurred.

Many people are always reminded to be vigilant and prepared to speak out if they observe something.

No matter the time of day or night, Schmotzer urged people to report anything unusual and anybody acting strangely.
