United States: The Former Charlotte Observer weather writer Steve Lyttle shared the weather update on Carolinas, the temperature of Charlotte Douglas International Airport has dropped to 25 degrees this morning.
He took to his official social media account and highlighted in the statement, “We dropped to 25 degrees this morning at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Typically, we’d be talking about how cold it was this morning, but our weather hasn’t been typical over the last week.”
In the coming week, here is something people might forget, it was quite chilly before the polar air arrived last Friday. In the week before Christmas, they had a series of days in which it was cloudy as well as damp, with highs in the 40s.
Over the last 15 days, dating back to mid-December, people have not had anything warmer than 53 degrees. People are nearly 3 degrees below normal this month, with just two days of 60 degrees or warmer.
Along with this, people will get warmer temperatures over the next 10 to 14 days, although most of the 60-degree-plus weather will come after the start of the new year. But tonight will be the last of the sub-freezing nights for a while.
TODAY: Sunny and mild, with a high of 56.
TONIGHT: Clear and cold. Low of 27.
THURSDAY: Sunshine, mixed with some high clouds. High of 58.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Low around 35.
FRIDAY: A mix of sun and clouds and mild, with a high near 60.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Cloudy, with a shower or two after midnight. Mild, with a low of 54.
NEW YEARS EVE: It will be a wet day, with showers from time to time. High of 58.
NEW YEARS DAY: What a way to begin the new year! Sunshine, mixed with some clouds, and very warm for early January, with a high near 65.
MONDAY: Sunny and very mild. High of 64.
TUESDAY: Clouds, for the most part, with several showers around. But it will be mild, with a high near 65.
