American radio host, Lino Rulli shares memories of Benedict XVI before his funeral

United States: An American radio host, Lino Rulli, shared his few favourite memories of Benedict XVI before his funeral on January 5, 2023.

He took to his official social media account and mentioned in the statement, “I wanted to share a few of my favourite memories of Benedict XVI before his funeral.”

As Cardinal Ratzinger, when he did the funeral of John Paul II. Moreover, the last time the world saw him as a Cardinal, was before the entered the Sistine Chapel.

His election, when he snuck backstage in Germany, Europe, as well as there he was in the popemobile. His first pilgrimage to Italy, was when they visited him at Castel Gandolfo.

When he beatified John Paul II, in the pouring rain in Madrid. He was one of the emcees for his youth rally of 20,000 people in NY. He was broadcasting his Mass at old Yankee Stadium. The final time Lino Rulli saw him up close was at St. Peter’s. On my birthday, I’m still not sure why he was there.

On the other hand, he shared another update that he highlighted a week ago that Jill and he were in the Bahamas. Then, Benedict XVI died as well, as they had to cut their vacation short so he could work in Rome.

It was amazing to be at this historical event. I’m grateful SiriusXM chose to send me.

I’m grateful for the food and drink and to be there for the Christmas season. I miss my friend Giovanni il Gatto, but I know he’s doing well.

Five days later, he was back in the United States of America. He appreciated Jill’s support and understanding, but now he had to find a path to make up for our lost vacation.
