Phillipsburg, Sint Maarten: On July 27, 2023, the Police department of Sint Maarten fined several drivers for lousy parking in an effort to remind motorists of the importance of adhering to parking regulations and guidelines.
The Korps police of Sint Maarten (KPSM) emphasizes that officers will be present on the streets 24/7 in order to maintain law and order in the country and urge the citizens to follow the rules to avoid being fined or facing charges.
The Police demonstrated its dedication to ensuring public safety and a seamless traffic flow in the Philipsburg area. Recognizing the significant impact of poorly parked vehicles and resulting congestion on drivers and pedestrians, the KPSM took proactive measures to address the issue.
KPSM appeals to the general public once more to abide by the traffic ordinance of St. Maarten, fostering a safer environment for all. As part of our commitment to maintaining order on the roads, several drivers found in violation were issued fines and instructed to vacate the improper parking spaces.
The Police Department of Sint Maarten ensures that it remains dedicated to its mission of safeguarding the community and enhancing the overall well-being of St. Maarten’s residents and visitors.
KPSM has also announced through its social media account about the minivan. The department urged the owner of the minivan to come forward and claim their property.
They asserted that it’s essential for the general public to beware of the appeal made by the Korps Police Force of St. Maarten regarding confiscated vehicles. If anyone’s vehicle was stolen and later found, they should visit the police headquarters during the hours of 09: 00 am to 04:00 pm weekly with all the necessary documents to reclaim their property.
The Police shared pictures of the minivan on their official Facebook account and advised the owner to come forward and provide their documents and reclaim their vehicle.
