Hadiya Claxton indulges in INTA 2024 ‘The Business of Innovation’ discussion at Atlanta

St. Kitts and Nevis: Special Envoy for Investment, Development and International Business Relations in the Prime Minister’s Office – Hadiya Claxton has attended the annual conference of International Trademark Association (INTA) 2024. At the event she participated in a distinguished panel discussion, held on the main stage.

Reportedly, the event was organised in Atlanta, Georgia which began on May 18, 2024 and ended on May 22, 2024. The meeting welcomed more than 10,000 visitors from over 140 countries across the world.

Claxton’s presence marked the commitment of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis to advance the global investment and business relations, as well as enhancing the understanding and application of IP Laws and the strategies.

Based on the theme “The Business of Innovation,” the 2024 discussion was mainly concentrated upon indulging the curiosity among people, ‘How creativity, change and technology are transforming?’ and ‘How IP professionals conduct business?’

Furthermore, the title of the panel discussion was focused on ‘Demystifying IP’ that offered the valuable insights. It engaged the legal experts in a comprehensive discussion over Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy.

The session held, considered the topics on best practices for IP management, along with the emerging trends and the importance of IP in fostering innovation and business development.

Special Envoy for Investment, Claxton was conjoined by the General Counsel of International of The Coca-Cola Company – Willie Hernandez and Interim General Counsel of the American Cancer Society – Laurisa Curran, in the panel.

The then held session was moderated by the Associate General Counsel and Head of Patents and Trade Secrets at Meta in USA – Michael Binns.

As per the sources, it was the 146th edition of the INTA annual meeting which was a great opportunity for the global investors to connect with the mot influential brand professionals, worldwide and to network with the industry professionals at one of the largest gatherings.

The Business Track at the INTA-2024 meeting gave a view on what business leaders expect from IP professionals and offered the visitors and opportunity to sharpen their business acumen.

The educational sessions conducted in the gathering were connected by the idea that innovation is what drives IP protection strategy and the speakers in the panel have provided the insights and practical advice over how to navigate the evolving landscape.
