“I am willing to die but won’t get vaccinated,” says a North Carolina man

In North Carolina, a man who required a kidney transplant was forced to refuse despite the 100 expected donors. According to the reports, the person needs to get the surgery to be done soon, but he doesn’t want to get vaccinated, and as per the hospital regulation, it is mandatory to get the inoculation shot against the COVID-19 before the process of transplant.

Moreover, the man named Chad Carswell is a resident of Burke County in the United States. During the interview, he mentioned that around three times a week, he is on dialysis, and he always visits the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem by having the hope of getting a kidney transplant.

Carswell said to the newsman, “I don’t know about my current situation because, without a kidney transplant, it is difficult to survive. It is a question for me also that how longer I’m going to survive without prolonging my life I need a kidney.”

Additionally, as per the information provided by the patient, he has had a limb amputated by which he has experienced various heart surgeries. There are many local businesses that have raised funds for his operation. A maximum of 100 individual donors have been shown to donate a kidney.

According to the statement made by the hospital authorities, the individuals who wanted to get the transplant and the person who will donate the organ should be vaccinated against the Coronavirus before the operation. If they deny getting the shot, then further proceedings of the procedure or surgery will be cancelled.

Furthermore, Carswell said, “He responded politely that there is nothing to have a conversation about. I didn’t want to have a conversation as I wasn’t not able to understand. He further told him that if he does not get a vaccination against the COVID-19, then he will die, and I agreed that I’m willing to die.”
