Minnesota man flown to Texas after courts order to not keep him on ventilator anymore

A COVID-19 infected person, a 55-year-old named Scott Quiner from Minnesota, was flown to Texas after the court decided not to keep him on a ventilator anymore.

The judge in the court has ordered the hospital to make the ventilator support stop for the patient as he was admitted at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids in Minnesota from November 6 2021, as he was suffering from low oxygen levels, and there were some signs of the improvement in the following days.

Quiner has not received his vaccination shots as well as has not shown any gestures related to the improvement in the body since he was hospitalized.

On Thursday, in the previous week, there was an announcement made by Mercy Hospital that they are going to disconnect the patient from the ventilator as he is not showing any sign of improvement. The ventilator was supporting him to stay alive. The hospital authorities have shared the information with Quiner’s family about this decision. Meanwhile, his wife, Anne Quiner, is filing a Petition to the Anoka County Court as the hospitals they are seeking for an emergency order to make this decision to stop moving her husband to a new health care centre.

The attorney of Anne Quiner’s named Marjorie Holsten has not yet disclosed the information about which hospital he will be shifted to. Moreover, he told the newsman that he is obtaining “Critical Care”, and all the body organs are performing well except his lungs.

After Anne Quiner had requested in front of the court, the judges have shared the heading date on February 11. Apart from this, the GoFundMe and GiveSendGo fundraisers have collected around $70,000 to pay the bills of Quiner’s medical expenses.

The new variant of COVID-19 Omicron infected people is the highest in count in the hospitals in Minnesota.
