COVID-19 in Dallas might be decreasing, but threat signs remains high, says experts

In Dallas, Texas, Dallas Independent School District has made the decision to lift up the mandate facial masks till the end of the month. The Texas attorney general has filed a lawsuit to compel the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, airports, and airlines to stop using them.

Moreover, during this whole COVID-19 pandemic, the medical experts have mentioned to still take the precaution for the protection and safety of self and the individuals. It is also essential to follow the measures against the COVID-19. On the other hand, the question has been raised by the officials, if it is the right time to ease the measures of COVID-19 infection.

Dr Mark Casanova, with the COVID Task Force, which is the collection of the medical experts following the Data of COVID-19 and also issuing COVID predictions in North Texas, mentioned, “While the tread is heading in a very favourable direction, the raw numbers are still on the top.(High)”

He further mentioned after he was asked about the Texas attorney general’s lawsuit, “I think we would want the centre that is focused on controlling diseases to be our guide.”

As per the data provided by the CDC and Texas Human and Human Services, the United States has noticed more than 2,000 COVID-19 casualties on a per-day basis, and over 100 was recorded in Texas.

The maximum number of individuals dying affected by the COVID-19 infection from the middle of January. The Director of CDC named, Rochelle Walensky, stated that the agency is considering a change in the mask guidance in the upcoming weeks.

The Health Director of Dallas County, Philip Huang, said, “We are on the downside of this Omicron variant impact. So that is a good thing.”

Additionally, he mentioned mask-wearing and vaccinations, “We are all hopeful. I am as optimistic as anyone. I am as tired of this as anyone and want to get out of this too. But I think we’ve learned that we need to continue to be cautious.

Dr Mark Casanova said, “Everywhere I go, my little blue buddy is with me. We are not quite in the end zone yet. We are going to get there. We are just not quite there yet.”

Along with this, Casanova mentioned, “Life in medicine is looking a bit more optimistic as of late and upbeat. We are just hoping we do not have a classic fumble right at the goal line.”
