Florida: Police arrests couple; forced son to live in locked structure in garage

In Florida, a couple was under arrest as they have locked up their adopted son, who is 14-year-old inside the garage. As per the information provided by the police officers, both mother and father were observing the boy through the camera, and he has a bucket to utilize as a washroom.

Moreover, on Wednesday, the Jupiter Police Department mentioned the couple was named Tracy and Timothy Ferriter, who are of 46-year-old. They have been charged with abusing a child as well as false imprisonment.

On 30 January, the police authorities discovered the living condition of the boy, the investigators had a visit to the Ferriter home, and it has been reported that the boy was an escapee.

Additionally, Tracy has given permission to only one investigator inside the home, and then they discovered that there was an 8-year-old small structure in the garage that the mother mentioned that that area is used as an office as well as for the storage space.

According to the details provided by the authorities, it included that it had a doorknob and a deadbolt, “Both of them were locked outside, and there was a switch of the light on the exterior part of the door. On the other hand, there was a camera, mattress as well as a bucket in the small structure in the garage.

However, the boy was found in the education centre the other day and was interviewed by the detectives.

As per a criminal probable cause affidavit, he mentioned why he ran from there because he thought no one loved him.

The document states he doesn’t want to return to his family. He made the request to the police officials to arrest him, “He would rather be in prison than going to the home.”
