California man spent 4 decades in jail for kidnapping bus full of children, seeking parole

California, USA– A 70-year-old man has spent four decades in prison for kidnapping a bus that was full of children as well as burying them alive. He will be released if the Governor of California named Gavin Newsom will approve his parole.

A panel of two commissioners with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on Friday, March 25, recommended parole for Frederick Newhall Woods, which is one of the three men who has hijacked a school bus with 26 children abroad in Chowchilla, in the state, on July 15, 1976.
