Brooklyn: Gunman sets off two smoke bombs, open gunfires; 23 wounded

In Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday, March 12, a gunman has set off two smoke bombs and open gunfire, firing at a New York subway car. Around 23 individuals were injured, and after the incident took place, he was the only person who acted on the incident and immediately escaped the crime scene.

As per the sources, the shooter was wearing a gas mask as well as a construction vest. He set off a smoke grenade and started firing a barrage of about 33 bullets on a rush-hour subway train.

Moreover, the police officials are working on the case and exploring the city in the search for the shooter, as well as he tried to track down the renter of a van that possible had a connection to the violence.

According to the authorities, there were ten individuals that were directly got hit by the gunfire, including five people that were admitted to the health care centre but are in stable condition.

Along with this, the police officials mentioned in the statement that there were approximately 13 more people who were suffering from the smoke inhalation were wounded at the time of the chaos as the panicked riders were trying the escape from the smoke-filled subway car in the New York City.

As per the police department, all of the victims have hoped to survive their injuries as their injuries are not life-threatening.

Furthermore, the police are seeking the “person of interest”, which has been identified as Frank R. James, but still, they are not sure if he is the person who is responsible for this whole incident.

James has been believed to have rented a U-Haul van in Philadelphia, USA.

On the other hand, the sources have expressed that he was a dark-skinned male of heavy build and was wearing a neon-orange vest with a grey colour sweatshirt, along with a green helmet with a surgical mask on the face.
