Florida man arrested for killing a dog

Florida, USA– A guy has been detained after police claim he shot and killed a dog at a Davie veterinarian’s office at random.

According to the Davie Police Department, the incident occurred at 6:45 a.m. Friday at Aycock Veterinarian Clinic on Stirling Road.

Moreover, Davie Police stated Tuesday evening that Chayse Billie, 21, had been arrested and charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty. The Seminole Police Department assisted in locating him.

Along with this, the offender entered the kennel on the south side of the vet’s office and shot a boarded female dog many times, according to police.

Surveillance cameras caught him approaching a fence, kicking it, and then photographing it.

Meanwhile, he then took out a gun and shot the dog before continuing to photograph it.

Matilda was adopted by Daniel Perez, an Army soldier, seven years ago. After he deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, she helped him deal with his anxiety and sadness.

He explained, “She knew when I was down, depressed. She forced me to pet her, and by doing that, I would calm down, relax, and think of something else.”

Perez would drop Matilda off at the clinic an hour before it opened to get to work on time. The employees would bring her in when it opened.

“At the starting, I thought it was personal, a target to me — then I thought it was a target to the dog, the doctor — but the video, in my opinion, seems a stupid prank that you would post on a platform like the black web or TikTok,” Perez mentioned in the statement.

He further added, “To me, he would probably do it again, and it would probably escalate to something else.”

Furthermore, the owner of the Aycock Veterinary Clinic named, Dr Javier Borrero, asserted, “Not knowing where he would be or his whereabouts, we were concerned that he was going to come back and do something worse.”
