Mike Tyson attacks passenger on flight; after he threw bottle at former boxer

United States: Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxer has, punched a passenger who was on also in the aeroplane during the incident after a passenger “threw a water bottle at him,” says Tyson’s representative.

The onboard video shows Tyson repeatedly punching an unnamed man while leaning over his seat.

Moreover, a spokesperson for the boxing Hall of Famer shared the confirmation that Tyson had an “incident with an aggressive passenger” who was “harassing him”.

One individual was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at San Francisco International Airport.

Along with this, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement, “That subject provided minimal details of the incident and refused to co-operate further with the police investigation.”

This incident took place onboard a JetBlue flight the night before heading from San Francisco to Florida on Wednesday.

The video that the sources have shared does not show the entirety of the altercation as well as a water bottle is not clearly visible in the footage.

Meanwhile, Tyson has agreed to take a picture with the passenger at the start of the flight. But the man continuously harassed Tyson in spite of the request that Tyson made for chilling.

In addition, the San Francisco Police Department mentioned in the statement, “aware of the video that possibly captured the incident.” The footage was sent to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over the investigation.

According to the sources, it has not been the first time Tyson has been involved in the violence. In 1992, he was convicted of rape as well as has served three years in prison.

Furthermore, from February 2021, over 7,000 unruly passenger incidents have been noticed in the United States, through 70 percent of them have involved masking restrictions, as per the report shared by the Federal Aviation Administration.
