Phoenix woman arrested, accused of helping suspected shooter

A woman has been accused of helping the suspected police shooter Nicholas Cowan has been apprehended in Phoenix.

On Monday, in the morning, Cowan is getting treatment in the health care center for the gunshot wounds that have happened on Thursday at the time of an incident where he is suspected of shooting a police officer in Phoenix nearby Cave Creek as well as Beardsley roads.

As per the records by the police officials, Nicole Montalbano has supported Cowen in not letting come police know about him.

Moreover, the shooting took place on April 14 at around 10:30 a.m.

After some time, Covan left the scene in a blue Toyota Prius as well as was picked up from an apartment complex by another individual in a pickup truck.

According to the police officials, the person allowed Cowan to use their cell phone to make multiple calls. Several of those calls were to a telephone which belonged to Montalbano, who has been mentioned as the Cowan’s girlfriend in the Prescott area.

In the calls, there were the individuals that were asking for the directions to where Cowan was located, in the area of 57th and sells drives.

Meanwhile, the investigators located the driver of the truck as well as got the information that the individual dropped off Cowan in the area of 57th and Sells, inside the west Phoenix, to another individual.

The person helped Cowan heal from the injuries that he had suffered at the time of the initial shooting with the police officials, as per the reports.

At about 5:30 p.m., that individual was told to leave the house without Cowan. At that time, the investigators mentioned that numerous calls were made between Cowan and Montalbano.

Furthermore, Montalbano has been booked into the Maricopa County Jail as well as is facing charges of hindering prosecution and tampering with or destroying the physical evidence.
