Press Run website founder and media critic Eric Boehlert killed in bike crash

In New Jersey, a critic Eric Boehlert, who has founded the Press Run website as well as wrote for Rolling Stone & Media Matters for America, was killed in a bicycle accident. He was 57-years-old at the time when the incident of his death took place.

As per the journalist Soledad O’Brien, a family friend, Boehlert was killed by a commuter train while riding around his home in Montclair, New Jersey, on Monday, in the night.

On Wednesday, O’Brien, the host of a show, “Matter of Fact,” stated that he specialised in uncovering falsehoods and holding other journalists and politicians accountable.

Moreover, she mentioned in the statement that “He was dogged about facts and a defender of truth.”

On Wednesday, March 6, Hillary Clinton mentioned on her social media account that the death of Boehlert was terrible news.

Along with this, she noted that “I am devastated for his family & friends as well as will miss his critical work to counteract false information & media bias. What a loss.”

Furthermore, he also worked for Salon & Billboard, as well as he was the author of the books, Lapdogs- How the Press Rolled Over for Bush” and “Bloggers on the Bus: How the Internet Changed Politics and the Press.”
