US: Family looks for hope as their 15-year-old son was shot and killed at Petersburg apartment

In the United States, a family is looking for answers after their 15-year-old son was shot and killed at a Petersburg apartment complex on Saturday in the evening.

On March 2, the police officials received a call from the 300 block of Crestfall Court for the reports of an individual that had been shot after 8:30 p.m.

At the time when the officers reached the location (Lieutenant’s Run Apartments), they have discovered a 15-year-old named Tyjuan Crenshaw II of Petersburg with a gunshot injury in the breezeway of the apartment complex. He was declared dead at the scene.

Moreover, Tyjuan Crenshaw Sen., Tyjuan’s dad, mentioned in the statement that “You really don’t know what you all have done – this can’t be fixed.”

Crenshaw says he, as well as his family, are heartbroken over the tragic loss of his son.

Along with this, it has been mentioned that he was a kid who loved hunting, motorcycles and fishing. He went by the nickname “Mistro” because he set the speed for everyone he was around.

Crenshaw stated, “He the GOAT, and everyone knows he the GOAT, they know it. The man lived a life that kids would dream to live.”

Parents of the 15-year-old mentioned that they have family near the apartment complex their son was shot to death, but it is still not identified yet why he was there on Saturday night.

Further, Crenshaw expressed, “We call, and we check. Everything pans out, but this one particular night, I guess something else happened.”

In addition, the police officials are working on the case and mentioned that the family member of the boy is looking for answers.

“You will be held accountable, and at the end of the day. Ain’t no sleep,” says Crenshaw.

At the investigation, another child reached the hospital with head trauma and was in critical condition.

The mother of the child, Tiffany Crenshaw, said, “I ask that you keep the prayers coming. As a city, we are required to do better, and as parents, we got to do better.”
