Brian Thomas, 21, assaults tenant using brass knuckles when he was short on rent: Tulsa Police

United States: A friend of a rental property owner is facing charges after allegedly beating a renter with brass knuckles during a rent disagreement, according to authorities.

Brian Thomas, 21, attended the landlord to visit a renter Thursday to collect overdue rent and drug money, according to a Tulsa Police Department Facebook post. Furthermore, when the tenant was behind on rent, Thomas beat him with brass knuckles, then pointed a gun at him as well as threatened to kill him, according to authorities.

The injured tenant was rushed to the hospital. The police did not provide any other information about his condition.

Along with this, Thomas was detained at his flat on Saturday by police officers. Inside the apartment, officers claimed they found two weapons and signs of marijuana distribution.

Thomas is a convicted felon, according to police. Thomas faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, pointing a firearm with purpose, threatening a violent act, gang-related conduct, and two counts of handgun possession.

The inquiry is still underway, according to police. They haven’t said if the owner of the rental property is also facing charges.
