Shooting incident kills 2, leaves 4 wounded in Chicago

United States: In Chicago, two people have been killed and four others have been wounded in shootings that took place on Thursday. 

A woman was dead, as well as another woman was wounded in Brighton Park at about 6:10 p.m. 

Moreover, both the women were fighting with a group of people in the 2900 block of West 45th Street when someone opened fire, according to Chicago police officials. 

The 23-year-old woman got struck in the arm and was taken to the Mount Sinai Hospital, where the doctors pronounced her dead, says the police. 

She has not been identified yet. Another 22-year-old woman got a gunshot injury in her body and was transported to a similar hospital in critical condition. 

Along with this, a man was discovered dead in a parked car on the Near West Side. The 33-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body in a vehicle in the 200 block of South Hoyne Avenue around 11:40 p.m., police mentioned in the statement. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other details have been shared till now. 

In addition, the police stated that at the same time, a 29-year-old man was sitting in his car in the 3800 block of West Belmont Avenue when he was shot in the right arm. He was transported to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fine condition, 

Around 10 minutes later, a 20-year-old man was on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Bell Avenue when he was shot in the right leg, said the police officers, and he was carried to the University of Chicago in fair condition. 

Furthermore, around an hour earlier, a 21-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Justine Street when she was shot in the left foot, police officials highlighted. She was then taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
