Virginia man killed, during a visit to his cousin

United States: A Virginia man who visited his cousin was shot and killed in broad daylight. The incident took place while he was sitting in a car parked on the Upper West Side.

The 27-year-old Ronald Thomas of Glen Allen, Virginia, was seen getting into an ‘intense’ argument with a woman when a gunman pulled up in a car as well as shot him dead in the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 he was seated in, according to the sources.

Moreover, he was pronounced dead at the crime scene.

When the family members were informed about the attack, Thomas’s brother went into cardiac arrest. He remains admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

Along with this, one of the other residents, Maria Beltran, shared the information that this latest killing has people worrying about their lives.

Thomas’ slaying is the latest in a string of violent crimes all over the Big Apple, with significant crimes increasing by over 40 percent in the previous month, as compared to a similar period in 2021.

She mentioned in the statement, “I don’t even come outside here anymore. I just want to get out of here. I’m going to the store right now, and then I’m going to go straight home.”

In addition, a former cop, New Mayor Eric Adams, has vowed to get crime in New York City control as well as decrease bloodshed, one of the key points of his mayoral campaign.

Thomas has fatally shot nearby the Frederick Douglass Houses, a public housing development in the Manhattan alley neighborhood, on W. 102 St. near Amsterdam Avenue around 12.15 pm Sunday, May 1.

Meanwhile, neighborhood resident Manny El Grande stated, “I saw an argument. I just said maybe that’s like a relationship, things going on… it wasn’t my problem, so I kept walking.”
