Atleast 3 dead, 14 injured in Chicago shootings

At least three people have died, and 14 others have been injured in shootings across Chicago as of Saturday.

During the first shooting of the weekend, a man was shot near a sidewalk in West Englewood Friday evening.

Police had said that the victim, 26 was near the sidewalk in the 6500 block of South Wolcott around 5:43 pm when he was approached by an unknown offender who produced a handgun and fired shots.

The victim was struck in the arm & head and was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where the medical team has pronounced him dead.

At the same time, A 20-year-old woman was shot while inside a car on Friday night in the Back of the Yards neighbourhood.

The victim was in the car in the 4800 block of South Winchester at around 7:55 pm when she suffered a graze injury to the ear.

She was later taken to U of C Hospital and initially reported in good condition.

Meanwhile, four people were shot after by an unknown man in East Garfield Park.

According to the statement by the Police, “The unidentified male offender was roaming northbound, on the 3400 block of West Monroe Street at around 9 pm on Friday, when he pulled a handgun and opened fire hitting several victims before escaping Southbound from the location.

Moreover, a woman, who was aged around 36-year-old, has sustained a gunshot injury to the Back and was transported to the Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.

Whereas a second woman, who was around her 20s, sustained one gunshot injury to her leg and was shifted to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where doctors have listed her in good condition.
