Nevis to fill summer season with much-awaited Mango Festival in July

St. Kitts and Nevis: Stepping up on the scale to become one of the most desired tourist attractions, St. Kitts and Nevis has proven to be a top pick for travellers. Numerous celebrations, competitions, and festivals make the nation a must-see destination. The mango becomes well-known throughout the country during the summer months of June and July, and Nevis is preparing to host the “Mango Festival”.

Given how much everyone on Nevis adores the fruit, the event is often regarded as the “Mango Capital of the Caribbean.”

Everyone participates in the festivities for the entire week, beginning on July 1, 2022, when the main activities take place.

The Cades Bay Fruit Orchard will host the Mango Festival on July 1, 2022, and Nevis will experience a laid-back mango Saturday. On the last day, there will also be activities in Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park, where St. Kitts and Nevis residents may celebrate their love of mangoes. Food demonstrations, a chef’s cooking competition (St. Kitts and Nevis), a mango wellness zone, and a mango 101 zone will all be featured during the event.

Further, with the contests such as mango eating and cocktail competition, the festival will also engage the audience. Moreover, the culinary challenge will also prepare the mango-focus menus, which will be indeed all about the Mango.

Devon Liburd, the Nevis Tourism Authority’s interim CEO, proudly stated, “Mangoes are an integral part of the Nevisian cuisine as many different species are grown here. Each variety is known for its unique look, taste and texture. Every Nevisian believes the Mango Festival is the perfect way to experience a Caribbean vacation with a distinctively Nevisian flavour.”

The love for this fruit might be proved by every Nevisian who has at least a mango tree in their backyard. Every summer, Nevis literally witnesses the rain of mangoes and there are over forty-four different kinds available in Nevis with Amory Polly, Julie and Long being the most popular among locals as well as travellers.

Since the downfall of the sugar mills in the late 1930s, the small island country has relied on tourism for financial assistance. The Federation is also known as one of the best nations which provides economic citizenship. It offers the world’s best Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme, as per the CBI Index published by the Financial Times’ PWM magazine. St Kitts and Nevis have been ranked first for “Citizenship Timeline”, “Due Diligence”, and “Family” in the Index.

The CBI Programme of St Kitts and Nevis has been providing alternative citizenship for more than three decades and has been regarded as the longest-running in the world. Some of the key benefits offered by the Programme of St Kitts and Nevis are as follows:

The agencies conduct multi-layered background checks; analysing applications, documents, character, source of income and many others.
