Person engages in domestic disturbance, shot to death by Burien Police officer

United States: A person thought to be engaged in a domestic disturbance was shot and killed by a Burien Police officer early on Friday morning, according to the authorities.

Just before 5:45 a.m., the Burien Police Department’s officers received a call on Friday. To an apartment in Burien located at 12438 Roseburg Avenue South.

On Friday, just before 5:45 a.m., the Burien Police Department’s officers received a call to an apartment in Burien located at 12438 Roseburg Avenue South. Deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute where a gunshot could be heard, but they were unable to locate anyone.

Additionally, minutes later, the police officers found that a person matched the description of one of the suspects. Although the suspect was contacted, according to the police, an interaction resulted in deputies employing fatal force. Despite the emergency personnel’s best efforts to save the victim’s life, authorities stated, the subject was declared dead at the site. In the incident, no cops suffered any injuries.

During the inquiry, the four Burien Police Department officers who were engaged in the event were placed on administrative leave.

The officer-involved shooting is being investigated independently by the Valley Independent Investigative Team (VIIT). In addition, VIIT is a multi-agency team made up of detectives from Tukwila, Kent, Federal Way, Kent, Des Moines, and the Port of Seattle.

In addition, the four Burien Police Department officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
