Woman faces sexual assualt while jogging in park in New York, officials looking for suspect

United States: The police officials are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting a female who was jogging in a park in Upper Manhattan, New York.

As per the sources, the people who visit Fort Tryon Park regularly say it is usually busy with folks getting their workout in, but Saturday in the morning, one woman doing just that was sexually assaulted.

The NYPD surveilled the area for hours, taking digital images as they worked to find clues in the park near the Henry Hudson Parkway as well as Dvckman Street.

Moreover, Harlem resident Martine Fontaine mentioned in the statement, “I’m really sorry for that woman.”

The law enforcement officials said just after 11 a.m. on Saturday, the victim was jogging when a man approached then sexually assaulted her. Along with this, the police officials asserted that the suspect escaped on a dark-coloured moped.

Bedford-Stuyvesant resident Sandrine Wellington expressed, “I have to get back to being more on point and careful and aware of everything, my surroundings, the time of day. And if at 11 a.m. we’re not safe? That’s a problem.”

In addition, the individuals living in that area were shocked to hear about the attack.

Dan Vector stated, “It is terrible. I can’t imagine that’s… That’s broad daylight, too.”

Susan Cervantes highlighted, “I think it is pretty well-populated. It seems pretty safe, so that is pretty surprising.”

One man declared, “I’m just pretty surprised that it happened in broad daylight. Things like that don’t normally happen. People are biking here all the time, running trails. I’m here just casually walking, so finding that out, I’m like, whoa.”

Furthermore, this sexual assault has fellow joggers on edge.
