United States: A New Jersey teenager died on Monday after being shot in the head in East Orange.
As per the police officials, the 16-year-old boy was shot four times in the head.
It took place at about 3:15 p.m. on Lincoln Street near Park Avenue, just steps away from three schools when classes were being let out.
As per the sources, the surveillance video shows a crowd of school children standing around Monday afternoon. Then, one by one, kids start to run-escaping from the firearms wounds.
In the statement, Mike mentioned that a 15-year-old who was there, “I was saying I hope God nobody got shot. I really did. I turned the corner, and next thing you know, I see the kid lying down on the ground with blood, bleeding.”
Mike highlighted that the friend of the victim was standing around him as well as crying.
Mike asserted, “I feel it’s crazy out here, seeing us young Black people out here, as kids, getting shot.”
First responders rushed the teenager to the health care centre, where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.
In addition, traumatized by what he saw, Mike called police officials and walked to the precinct.
He stated, “I was sad myself. When I was going to the police station, I was crying actually. I was like, this is crazy.”
There are no arrests thus far. The police officials have not determined if the teenager was the intended target or what was the motive for the shooting.
Furthermore, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation.
