United States: Two suspects were detained on Monday in Texas, according to authorities, in connection with an earlier this month shooting outside a Florida club that left one person dead and six others injured.
According to a press statement from the Tampa police, the two guys, Josue Clavel, 22, and Damaso Bravo, 32, were detained in Brownsville, Texas, by the U.S. Marshal’s Office Fugitive Task Force.
Along with this, officials said that the guys had been hiding out with their girlfriends at a hotel and that they had $20,000 in cash.
I can’t emphasise enough how hard the Tampa Police Department’s officers have worked to identify the perpetrators and compensate the victims, according to Chief Mary O’Connor.
Clavel and Bravo got into a brawl with a number of others inside the LIT Cigar and Martini Lounge in downtown Tampa early on October 9, according to authorities. Clavel and Bravo opened fire during the outside altercation, killing one person, a 30-year-old guest from California who was attending a wedding, and wounding seven others.
Furthermore, Clavel and Bravo were also recognised as Latin Kings gang members by Tampa police detectives. Officials from Florida stated that they are coordinating with Texan authorities to extradite the males back to Tampa.
