United States Deputy Secretary of State- Wendy R. Sherman expresses pleasure over meeting with Mexican LGBTQI+ activists. They had an interaction session in which they shared their stories.
She shared a glimpse of that meeting through her official social media account and noted that they are working their best in the progress of Mexico to achieve marriage equality in every state.

Along with this, she also had a meeting with the members of the Mexican media in Mexico City. Moreover, the major focus of the discussion was the depth of the U.S.-Mexico partnership as our countries prepare for the next North American Leaders Summit.
According to the U.S. Department of State, the United States and Mexico are going to complete their 200 years of diplomatic relations on December 12. The ties between USA and Mexico are powerful, and they are valuable partners.
On the other hand, the U.S. Department of State highlighted that the United States of America works orderly with the government of Mexico and international partners to curb the pandemic and lower secondary economic effects in both nations.

On the other hand, Wendy R. Sherman shared an update on a previous meeting with Mexican civil society members on disappearances. She mentioned in the statement that Losing a loved one to disappearance is an open wound that can never heal.
