Saint Lucia: PM Philip J Pierre recounts his administration’s accomplishments in December 2022

Castries, Saint Lucia: Philip J Pierre, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, recounted his administration’s work in the month of December 2022. 

He shared the information through his official social media account and highlighted “December Wrapped.”

As the Prime Minister, Philip J Pierre updated his government undertook the following: 

  • All of the active and non-active public servants collectively received XCD 6.8 million in back pay from the government. 
  • The government paid XCD 4.4 million to 47 former employers of LIAT (1974) LTD. 
  • One hundred ninety-six former employees of Majestic Industries LTD each received an XCD 10,000 one-time payment. 
  • More than XCD 3 million was spent on the Christmas Stimulus programme. 

On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia extended his deepest condolences to the family as well as the loved ones of Joseph Baden Allain. 

The man has served his community and his nation admirably in his official capacities as MP for Soufriere/ Fond St. Jacques and Speaker of the House of Assembly. 

Along with this, as an ordinary citizen, he continued his service to the people of Saint Lucia as well as the development of his nation with the same enthusiasm as well as passion. 

He mentioned in the statement that he would forever be thankful for all of the that people have shared with the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia-Philip J Pierre, the books, laughter as well as advice. PM Pierre said, “May his soul rest in peace.”

Along with this, various people shared their sentiments through comments. One of the users mentioned in the statement, “OO…… My good friend has transitioned to the next beyond. What a great man he was. My condolences and prayers to his family.”

The other user stated, “Extending deepest condolences to family and loved ones of Mr. Allain. May he rest in eternal peace.”
