United States: Team Ella shared an update on Ella’s scan results, a girl from the United States fighting against Neuroblastoma.
They shared the information through their official social media account and mentioned that they had received the scanning results back of Ella that showed for the second time in a row there was no observable cancer in her body.
They are relieved that the lymph nodes are clear (to say the least) but also find themselves further encouraged that her previous areas of involvement have stayed suppressed.
Along with this, Team Ella further added to the statement, “We are pretty wrung out emotionally from the week. We are trying to allow the good news to penetrate through the rest of the challenges and enjoy it fully.”
They are planning on doing some school, shovelling the newly fallen 7in of snow off the driveway, maybe a bundled-up hike, and no doubt several pauses in our day.
“Those powerful pauses where we look around us at the Christmas tree, lights, and snow and realize we’ve been given another Christmas season with Ella, with our family together.”
The simple acknowledgement of what they have been given in the present feels like a good place to start. Next week they will continue the clinical trial with an infusion on Tuesday that was delayed from this week.
