Weather: US to witness chilly conditions, low chances of rainfall

United States: The former Charlotte Observer weather writer Steve Lyttle shared the update on Carolina weather. There will be no rainfall, and after that, people will witness a chilly weekend.

He shared the information through his official social media account and highlighted, “Most of us have received between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain from the storm system that will be pulling away from the Charlotte region in the next few hours. As of 11 a.m., National Weather Service radar shows another line of showers approaching the Charlotte area. After that, we might be finished with the precipitation. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that a bit of sunshine could appear late this afternoon.”

Once the storm system pulls away, it will set the stage for a mostly clear and cold weekend. It will be seasonably cold — just enough to remind people that Christmas, as well as the start of winter, are nearby.

There are still all kinds of various scenarios floating around for the Christmas weekend, but the theme that we all can pretty much count on is cold weather. People won’t have to worry about the house getting too warm if they start a fire in the fireplace.

TODAY: Showers ending by noon or 1 p.m. Then cloudy and chilly, with a high around 50.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few patches of fog around. Low near 35.

FRIDAY: If there are any clouds around in the morning, they’ll be gone soon afterwards. We’re looking at a sunny day with a high of 52.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear, with a low near freezing.

SATURDAY: Sunshine mixed with some high clouds. High near 50.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Low around 30.

SUNDAY: Sunny as well as cold, with a high of around 45.

MONDAY: Sunshine mixed with some high clouds. High of 46.
