Saint Lucia: Pirates Swim Club Family admire Fayth Jeffrey for remarkable performence at CARIFTA

Fayth Jeffrey proudly represented Team Saint Lucia at the CARIFTA Aquatic Championship 2023. She was the youngest female swimmer on the Team and the only 13-14-year-old female; in her first year competing in this age group.

Fayth made six finals with three 4th places. Out of these championships, Fayth achieved 2 St Lucia 13-14 Long Course Age Group Records in the 200m and 400m IM and 1 Saint Lucia Long Course National Record in the 200m IM.

Fayth contributed the second-highest points to Team St Lucia’s combined scores. Appreciating her efforts and contribution to the club, the Pirates Swim Club Barbados wrote, “Congratulations, Fayth!! Your Pirates Swim Club Family is incredibly proud of you and your overall performance”.

Fayth Jeffrey’s mother gave a brief explanation regarding her performance at the CARIFTA Games in Curacao and in the more recent RHAC Meet.

She emphasises that ‘Fayth competed in 8 events. She made finals in 6 events, two of which were straight finals. Fayth placed 4th overall in 3 events (the 200m IM, 400m IM and 100m Breaststroke).

She also set 2 Saint Lucia 13-14 Long Course Age Group records in the 200m IM and 400m IM (both records she previously held). She set one Saint Lucia National Long Course Record in the 200m IM, a National Record that she previously had. Overall it was a good experience for Fayth.

Immediately after CARIFTA, Fayth travelled to Saint Lucia to participate in the RHAC Invitational 2023. Fayth emerged as the overall Age Group Champion in the 13-14 Age Group. She also set a Saint Lucia Short Course 13-14 Age Group Record in the 800m Freestyle. The previous 800m Free record was held by Danielle Beaubrun (2005).”

At last her mother said, “Well done Fayth, oyu will make the Olympics at this rate”.
