At around 6:30 am on Saturday, May 6, 2023, police central dispatch received a call about a body floating at Guana-Bay Beach. Patrols from the Police were sent there right away.
Officers arrived and found a woman’s body floating in the water. The Coastguard was promptly requested to assist due to the seriousness of the circumstance. During their search and rescue effort, they found a female victim’s body floating nearby, along with several personal items.
The Coastguard successfully rescued the victim’s body from the water, quickly delivering it to the Simpson-Bay Coastguard Station. Detectives and forensic specialists were called in at the same time to launch an inquiry into this unfortunate incident.
At around 10:30 am, Central Dispatch received a second call later in the day. This call informed authorities that a male body was lying lifeless on the beach at Guana-Bay. To look into the situation, detectives, forensic specialists, and employees of the prosecutor’s office were sent to the location.
The body of a male victim was discovered on the beach and taken to one of the nearby funeral homes for additional inspection.
Additional information is being withheld at this time due to the delicate nature of the case and the need to protect the victims and their families privacy and dignity.
The KPSM Major Crimes team requests that anyone with information about the occurrences at Guana-Bay Beach or who may have seen any suspicious activity come forward and help with the investigation.
