Antigua and Barbuda launches second instalment of Romance Month ‘Love Lane’

In collaboration with the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has introduced the second version of its ‘Love Lane’ expedited travel service for couples visiting the area in June during the country’s Romance Month.

For the month of June celebrations, couples using the ‘Love Lane’ at the award-winning V.C. Bird International Airport will be given priority through immigration by using a dedicated couples-only lane.

Couples visiting Antigua and Barbuda to be married, celebrate their honeymoon, or take a romantic getaway are welcome to participate in the “Love Lane” experience. Couples are urged to pre-register at the registration page prior to their trip.

Couples who sign up in advance for the free service will get a confirmation email with a digital E-Card that they must show when they arrive to get the expedited service.

The most popular destination for couples remains Antigua & Barbuda, particularly in light of the success of last year’s “Love Lane” Romance Month.

“We want all couples travelling to Antigua & Barbuda to experience love from the time they land, said Shermain Jeremy, Special Projects and Events Marketing Manager for the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA), he added,  “We want them to picture enchanted Antigua and Barbuda.”

“Given the resounding success of last year’s exercise, we are happy to partner with the ABTA in showcasing the V.C. Bird International Airport and providing a welcome to couples seeking the romantic allure of our charming destination,” says Euletta Francis, Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority.

Every year, the entire month of June is dedicated to celebrating romance, with the goal of establishing Antigua and Barbuda as the world’s top romantic vacation spot. Over 200 couples used the ‘Love Lane’ to go there in June of last year.

The reintroduction of special promotions, including the global romance webinar for all trade partners across the key source markets, the debut of the couples’ magazine “Love in Paradise,” and the launch of “The Greatest Love Story” campaign in Barbuda, will commemorate this year’s anniversary.
