Utopia of the Seas to arrive CocoCay island on its inaugural journey

The Royal Caribbean International has announced its new ship, Utopia of the Seas, will homeport year-round at Port Canaveral beginning July 2024. This magnificent Oasis-class ship, the first in its class to be fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG), will embark on 3- and 4-day journeys to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas.

Utopia will join her sister ships, Wonder of the Seas and Voyager-class Adventure of the Seas, when she arrives next year, establishing Port Canaveral as the homeport for two of the world’s largest three ships.

Royal Caribbean International’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas is set to redefine private island destinations. The Cruise company has spent $250 million on its transformation, making the island perfect for the ultimate combination of thrill and chill.

This unrivalled private island, only available to Royal Caribbean guests, provides an array of distinct adventures and iconic features from the tallest waterslide in North America, Daredevil’s Peak, to Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean – one-of-a-kind experiences that will top any bucket list.

From a visit to North America’s tallest waterslide on every sailing to NEW immersive dining experiences and more than 20 bars and lounges onboard, there’s no shortage of bragging rights to be earned. This is the World’s Biggest Weekend – arriving in Port Canaveral in July 2024.
