Icon of the Seas, to start offering cruises from Miami in January 2024

Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship ever built, is scheduled to begin sail in January 2024. The massive vessel is 1,200 feet long, five times longer than the Titanic, and has 20 decks with bars and restaurants. It has 19 floors, the largest at-sea waterparks, and even a mini-golf course. It can accommodate 5,610 guests and 2,350 staff members.

This 7-night Western Caribbean cruise sails from November 23-30, 2024 from Miami, Florida. Ports include Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Coco Cay and two relaxing days at sea. Thanksgiving Day will be a day at sea.

The mega vessel will set a new world record as the world’s largest cruise ship. For security reasons and leaving no room for negligence, the vessel is equipped with larger lifeboats to accommodate all passengers and crew.

The ship manufactured in Finland by a ship-making company called Royal Caribbean International will carry 5610 passengers and 2350 crew members. The Icon Of The Seas is five times bigger and heavier than the Titanic, weighing 250,800 tons, while the Titanic weighed 50,210 tons. Thousands of people have booked tickets to be among its first passengers.

The latest ship has equipped with a unique speciality called an aqua dome, where visitors can enjoy a snack or drink while taking in the breathtaking waterfall and all-encompassing ocean vistas. By night, it transforms into a bustling hotspot with bars, restaurants, and the top-tier AquaTheater, where the cruise line’s signature aqua shows are presented.

Another special thing about Icon of the Seas is it’s the leading ship of the Icon class. The Royal Caribbean International is expected to have three Icon Class Cruise ship until 2030.
