Pooran’s Windies with rare opportunity of series win over India

Georgetown, Guyana: Nicolas Pooran and West Indies have a rare opportunity to win the T20 series against India today in Guyana at Providence Stadium.

Nicholas Pooran has performed astonishingly in both matches with an outstanding knock of 41 and 67. He expects an improved showing from West Indies, especially in the batting department, as the Caribbean side chases a rare series win against India in the third Twenty20 International in Georgetown, Guyana.

West Indies won the opener in Trinidad last week by four runs before securing a nervy two-wicket victory in the second T20 International at the National Stadium on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Now they are just one victory away from winning the series.

Today the third match of India’s tour of West Indies will be played at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana. Here are the figures which can assist West Indies to win the game as well as the series.

  • Pitch & Conditions
  • Tactical Punts
  • Probable XIs

West Indies already has home advantage and already won second T20 match on the same ground. Indian batters have seen struggling on Guyanese pitch, which is a positive sign for Windies bowlers and keep pressure on the Indian side.

Nicholas Pooran achieved another incredible achievement as he ranks number 1 with highest score against India in the t20 format. He has scored 524 runs against India in T20 format, followed by Australian Aaron Finch with 500 runs, England’s Jos Buttler with 475 runs and Glenn Maxwell with 438 runs.

With the West Indies’ commitment f winning the series, the Indian streak of winning the series is under threat. Former Indian Captain Virat Kohli has returned to India, which confirmed that he will no longer be a part of this series. The Global Air Charter services arranged particular flight from West Indies to India.

Under the captaincy of Hardik Pandeya and since the absence of senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, India is struggling and performing quite ordinary.

India’s performance in West Indies left Indian Cricket fans worried about the World Cup scheduled in India in October this year. They think it will be difficult for India to compete with top-ranking teams like Australia, England or Newzealand with a performance like this.
