Ohio man mistakenly shot her daughter after misperceiving her as an intruder

 

On Wednesday, an Ohio man has shot and killed his 16-year-old daughter inside their own home after misperceiving her for an intruder. At home near Canal Winchester on Piper Bend Drive.

According to the report, the police identified the teenager as Janae Hairston. Before 4:30 pm, She was inside the garage when her father attacked her with the fire and brutally injured her.

The girl’s mother told the 911 dispatcher about the situation, “Her husband has made an enormous mistake and shot his child because he thought anybody secretly came into their house.” She further mentioned, “She was in the garage, and her husband did not know what was happening at that time.”

After the incident, they called the police just after 5 minutes. The victim’s mother called the emergency services. Furthermore, they were hoping the situation would get well and begging her girl to wake up.

The officials said, “They extended their sincere condolences to the girl’s family, and their thoughts, prayers and support are with them. They are depressed with this heartbreaking loss, and they will help the family, younger ones to cope up.”

The Columbus Police Department could not provide more details immediately, but they have directed the matter to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s office to consider the case.

Their daughter was dead at 5:42 after being rushed to the Mount Carmel East Hospital. The police said there are no charges filed on this case yet. Apart from this, this incident took place just two days after an off-duty North Carolina police officer shot and seriously injured his son in an apparent accident.

His father is a cop with the Jacksonville Police Department, and he is cooperating with officers and has not been charged yet. His son was hospitalized at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville but he was dead.
