White House suggests future where COVID-19 and normalcy co-exists

On Wednesday, in the United States, the health officials of the Biden administration have highlighted a long-term future image in which the people will live everyday life without any inconvenience and with the co-existence of the Coronavirus.

During the press conference with the White House Covid-19 response team, the Covid-19 response coordinator of the White House, Jeff Zients, mentioned, “We all are looking forward to the time when the Coronavirus will not create any disruptions in our normal lives. I’m talking about the time when it not be treated as a concern but will look like a minor illness from which we have to protect ourselves and get the treatment.”

As per the information provided by Zients, he is pointing towards the vaccines as a tool and requirement to fight against the COVID-19 variant, but it is not yet identified what it will take to get to that point. The United States, it not yet at that place, says Dr Anthony Fauci.

Fauci further added there is still a long way to go as the cases of the COVID-19 will get decrease, as well as the number of people getting admitted in the hospitals, will also be reduced, at that time it will be described as an “Acceptable Situation”.

“Currently, we are not at that place.” The Director of the USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director, Dr Rochelle Walensky mentioned, “On the point where there are more than 2000 casualties, over 150,000 hospitalizations, as well as the maximum number of individuals, are getting infected by the COVID-19 is recorded as approximately 700,000 per day, then we are not there where we are thinking to be,” Dr Fauci said.

According to Fauci, the objective is to reach a place where the people have proper control over the situation by which they can live a disruption-free life, and the infection will not be able to affect the lives of the people.” It cannot stop us from doing the things that we used to do under the normal circumstances.”
