California approves bill mandates vaccination for all employees

In California, on Friday, the legislation has declared the vaccination related to the COVID-19 would be compulsory for the workers of large-scale businesses and independent contractors. The move has been highly criticized by the opposition of the Democrats called republicans in the city.

Moreover, the employees or contractors eligible for the medical or religious exemptions would have to be regularly tested under a scheduled revision to the bill.

The new arrival of the employees would have to get to the minimum of one shot of the vaccination against the COVID-19 on the time they start to their jobs as well as the second dose in the duration of the time of 45 days on the work.

The states representative of California, Buffy Wicks, introduced the bill. The last version of the bill included that it will be mandated that the workers have to submit weekly testing as proof to get fully vaccinated, but the bill that Wicks has represented does not include such options.

Compulsory vaccination is highly controversial as well as there have been many protests held at the state Capitol in Sacramento against such kinds of requirements.

Other supporters and Wicks have mentioned that the vaccination should be necessary as California is proceeding to reduce the rules and regulation, and it has been expected that they are moving into a new endemic phase that approved the COVID-19 infection is going to stay at a similar place as it will build the immunity of the individuals.

She mentioned, “That is basically what is this bill is all about, getting back to some sense of normalcy so we can go on with our lives as well as we do not have these constant interruptions and the outbreaks and all of these things that we have been going through for a long period of time.”
